·         If you are working an event for the first time.  Allow plenty of time to arrive and find your way around

·         To enter the track, do not wait in the long line of cars (if there is one) this will make you late for your shift!  Enter through the ‘exit’ lane and show the person your NFP badge and let them know you are a volunteer worker.  Never pay to enter!

CHECK-IN:

·         Once you have made it into the track.  Proceed and park to trailer labeled ‘C’

·         Once at the trailer you will check-in with a concessions manager (usually sitting at the desk)

·         They will check your OLCC

·         Shirts will be laid out on the table for you to wear

·         The SL will get the clip board from the table and the money person will be issued the stands money

 DRESS CODE:

·        NFP group members must wear their group hats or visors (with the exception of bartenders). Bills must face front.

·        Uniform shirts will be issued at check-in and must be properly buttoned up, and undershirts must be an appropriate color (Black, White, or Red)

·        Facial piercings are not allowed and must be removed prior to checking in for your shift

·       Tattoos must be covered.  If you have a tattoo on your leg that is exposed when wearing shorts, you must wear long pants or cover the tattoo appropriately.

·        Personal objects must be put away prior to beginning your shift, and should not be brought to your work location (this includes Bluetooth earpieces)

  •   Pants or shorts.  Must be either black or khaki in color (shorts cannot be shorter than 4” above the knee; NO denim or skirts)
  •   Comfortable shoes – must be closed toe/closed heel (NO sandals or crocs); sneakers are fine as long as they are clean and   in good condition.

BREAKS & MEALS:

  • Volunteers are allowed 15 minutes per 4-hour shift to take rest break
  • NFP volunteers can purchase script to receive a 50% discount on their meals at PIR.  Please purchase script from an Ovations Manager PRIOR to the start of your shift (preferably when you sign in for work)
  • If an NFP volunteer prefers to NOT purchase their meals while working, they will be allowed to bring their own food from home.  Food brought in from home must be prepared PRIOR to arriving to work.  Employees will not be allowed to use Ovations food products or work equipment (grills and etc.) to prepare their meal items while working.
